This fabulous Sound Shores home on Ocracoke Island has pretty sound and marsh vistas from the second floor deck and cupola. Tastefully decorated and featuring a sizable open floor plan Saltmeadow is ideal for family gatherings. This home is further complimented by a second floor sitting area and third floor cupola. Generous decks and screened porch complete this island vacation home.

3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths: 1 with King Bed, 1 with Queen Bed, 1 with two Twin Beds. There is a whirlpool tub in the Master Bath.

Conveniences include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, 4 cable TVs, 1 DVD player, and stereo with surround sound. Washer and dryer.

Sheets and towels are supplied. Beds are made for your arrival.

The exterior offers a screened porch, decks, hot/cold outdoor shower, park style charcoal grille, picnic table and fish cleaning bench.

No Smoking. No Family Animals Accepted. Limit of 3 cars.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-nighttime minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

Ocracoke is home to this vacation home. British Cemetery and US Navy Beach Jumpers Memorial are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Hatteras Landing Marina and Teach's Lair Marina. Ocracoke Pony Pens and Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as fishing.

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Ocracoke area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Ocracoke area. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Ocracoke vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance.   • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
