Located on a modest side road off Silver Lake Road this property has private decks and painless water access providing an ideal place for your event to launch personal watercraft and discover the island. The docking here is shallow and only accepts shallow watercrafts. Both the downstairs living area and upstairs master bedroom are open to the view of the sound, where one can appreciate lazily watching boats and ferries going to and from the mainland. Upon entering this unit, you are greeted by a handsome hand painted mural that leads you to the second floor. The sizable second bedroom upstairs is great for families needing a kids’s room, having a pyramid bunk bed, queen-sized bed, and a twin bed. Our top Ocracoke rental home booking tips:

When to reserve a Ocracoke rental & When to go:

  • In the Ocracoke area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Ocracoke attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Ocracoke vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to choose and book the right Ocracoke rental:

  • Select your dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Water's View: Waterfront Ocracoke Townhome has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's an individual Ocracoke beach you long to visit, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
