Cozy getaway for a couple or modest family. This apartment is attached to our family home in Ocracoke. It is designed as a mother-in-law space for the previous owner. It has a queen size bed(sheets are not included) and a roll out single cot. Cable TV 32 inch flat screen and wireless internet in the master suite. Kitchen has a apartment size 4 Burner stove with oven. Microwave, coffee maker, modest (dorm size) refrigerator. Modest eating table in the front room. Ideal for a modest family or couple. We do allow family pets for an additional $50 and the cleaning fee for the rental is $50. If you want to do early check in there is an additional $45 fee. It is additional added anxiety for our cleaners to have everything ready for those that get here on an early ferry. Normal check in time is 3:30 pm and check out time is 11:00. If you want to check out late it is a $100 fee.

We do NOT post on Craigslist, so if you see it there, it is not us renting it. We only go through Vacation Rental By Owner/Home Away.

We do not offer refunds for weather related cancellations, ferry issues, or illness. We highly recommend that you purchase optional travel insurance.

About the Area

Located in Ocracoke, this vacation home is in the city center. British Cemetery and Ocracoke Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Hatteras Landing Marina and Teach's Lair Marina. Ocracoke Pony Pens and Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.

• Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
• Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
