Its reverse floor plan has the bedrooms on the first floor and a cavernous open living area on the upper level. The second floor vaulted ceilings offer an open airy feel complimented by the home's handsome furnishings and casual, classic coastal decor. Strategically placed windows provide unparalleled vistas of nature, the salt marsh and distant Pamlico Sound. 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths: Three with Queen Bed and one with Daybed w/Trundle. The first floor offers four bedrooms: two master bedrooms with a private bath and queen bed. The third queen bedroom features a private covered porch. A comfortable fourth bedroom with daybed w/trundle (2 twins) could be used as an office by day. There is a third bathroom located off the first floor hallway. There are numerous outdoor decks and porches for your enjoyment; including an open deck off the living area, a private covered porch off the bedroom, a welcoming front porch and a roomy screened porch located off the kitchen with a spiral staircase leading to an open deck with spectacular expansive vistas of the distant ocean, lighthouse, sound and close by Southpoint Road. Each offer an outdoor escape, a place to gather with family or a peaceful space to appreciate a good book or savor your morning coffee. Appreciate a sunrise over the Atlantic or a spectacular Ocracoke sunset all without leaving your home. Conveniences include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, 5 cable TVs (including two 47 inch) and 4 DVD players and 1 Blu-Ray DVD Player. About the Area

This vacation home is located in Ocracoke. Deepwater Theater and Ocracoke Preservation Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Ocracoke Lighthouse and British Cemetery. • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
• Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.

• Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
• Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
