This two-story waterfront townhouse is the ideal place to relax and take in the extraordinary sunset vistas over Pamlico Sound. Located on a modest side road off Silver Lake Road this property has private decks and painless water access providing an ideal place for your event to launch personal watercraft and discover the island. The docking here is shallow and only accepts shallow watercrafts. Both the downstairs living area and upstairs master bedroom are open to the view of the sound, where one can savor lazily watching boats and ferries going to and from the mainland. Upon entering this unit, you are greeted by a striking hand painted mural that leads you to the second floor. The huge second bedroom upstairs is great for families needing a kids’s room, having a pyramid bunk bed, queen-sized bed, and a twin bed. The master bedroom upstairs has a private bathroom and private deck access. This Saturday turn day property does not provide linens or towels, please inquire about rental options.

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Ocracoke vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Ocracoke vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Ocracoke area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental:

  • First, have your family choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Water's View: Waterfront Ocracoke Townhome has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
