This 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom modern home with open floor plan is ideal for family gatherings. Savor your cup of coffee on the broad screened porch located in the trees, or prepare your fresh local seafood feast in the well equipped kitchen.

If you know the Outer Banks, then you know that Ocracoke Island is the "Pearl" of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This home is centrally located on a dead end street within walking/cycling distance to everything in the village. Only a short bicycle ride or drive, and you will find yourself on one of the most striking beaches in the country. Also we are just a day trip away from Hatteras Island and Nags Head!

The master bedroom has a king and private bath. The second bedroom has a queen, twin trundle bed, and a twin bed in loft. The third bedroom has a full bed. Linens are not included but are available on the island for rental.

Gulf stream fishing is one of the more impressive activities you can experience on your Ocracoke vacation. If you plan to bring along your own boat, we can help coordinate deep water dockage in Silver Lake Harbor for an additional fee.

How to book the best Ocracoke rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Ocracoke area. To find the best value, change your family's Ocracoke trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Ocracoke area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Ocracoke area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking your Ocracoke vacation home:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Beautiful Island Home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Ocracoke rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
