Make a date to head to one of the most famous theaters on the Outer Banks for this engaging summertime performance that will have audience members of all ages grinning from ear to ear. Blackbeard: An (Historical/Hysterical) Account is a relatively new show that was brought back for a second season by popular demand, and which effortlessly combines a little education with goofy and irreverent fun.

Blackbeard is a legendary figure on Ocracoke Island, and during this show, visitors can learn all the facts – as well as some of the decidedly not-facts – about this famous pirate that used to stalk the local shores. Desiree Ricker, David Tweedie, Gary Mitchell, and Peyton Piquard will lead the way to this unique study of Blackbeard’s character that will engage and enlighten audience members of all ages. The show is held every Monday in the summer months at the Deep Creek Theater and Music Hall – one of the most beloved spots on the island -  and tickets are $15 for adults and just $7 for kids. A family-friendly outing that everyone in the party will enjoy, this cool show will delight everyone in the group, and will shine a light on one of Ocracoke Island’s most famous local residents.
