Pet Friendly Suite

3 story pastel orange beach home with white trim. 1.4 mile walk to the lifeguarded beach. This 1st floor suite has a private kitchenette (NO STOVE), bathroom, and additional bedroom all located within the unit. Great for a family of 4 or two couples looking to get away. Pet friendly for well-behaved dogs up to 50lbs (limit 2)

**The listed rate covers up to 2 guests. Additional guests will be an additional $50 per nighttime, per guest.

Pet fee is $50 per stay for well-behaved dogs not more than 50lbs (limit 2). **If family pets are not marked and paid for at the point of booking, we reserve the right to cancel the booking at the point of check in without refund. (All guests are met in person for check in.) Family Animals are not to be left unattended for long periods of time and must not disturb other guests while staying with us. Excessive barking or whining will not be tolerated.

The private ramp entrance is located on the left side of the home leading to a studio which is roomy and comfortable with a kitchenette, intelligent TV, seating area and dining table. Down a private hallway is the private full bath with cavernous shower, clothes closet, and additional queen bedroom. There is another entrance from the common room at the front of the home. Both have keypad entry with the same code.

Accommodations offer a hair dryer, Intelligent TV and starter rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. Kitchenette includes apartment size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, cookware/dishes/silverware, and a standard 12 cup coffee maker (filters included)

No smoking of any kind (no vapes, no e-cigs). Any evidence of smoking in the suite will incur a cleaning fee of $350. If you must smoke, please do so outside and away from other guests. Dispose of cigarettes properly (do not throw in the yard).

** Parking is a premium on Ocracoke and we only have 1 space available per suite. Please, no trailers or very sizable cars. ** Let us know if you will bring/rent a golf cart while you are staying with us.

Bicycles, golf carts and other 4x4 cars available for rent on the island. (Lots of options for units)

Ocracoke Beach Outfitters has beach gear, infant items, bicycles and other items for rent if you forget something for your stay. They are within walking distance of the home.

The home sits in the middle of our little island 30 miles off the mainland accessible only by ferry boat or airplane.

There are 3 ferry lines that service this island. Cedar Island, Swan Quarter and Hatteras. Cedar Island and Swan Quarter car ferries require reservations and a modest fee (see the NC Ferry Reservations website to reserve your date and time). The Hatteras car ferry is complimentary and first-come, first-serve. You may have to wait in line at Hatteras. The schedule for all ferries and reservations for Cedar Island and Swan Quarter are on the NC Ferry website (ferry.ncdot.gov)

No franchises are allowed on island so all the fish markets and eateries are locally owed as are most all the businesses, family owned and operated. Eateries get their fresh seafood directly from the local fishermen daily.
There are various festivals and special events throughout the season. Check out the Ocracoke Observer community newspaper website (ocracokeobserver.com) or Facebook page for up to date information on restaurant openings/closings and special events. This home sits within walking distance to it all.

You must text when you get on your ferry to establish an estimated arrival time for check in. ** NO CHECK INS AFTER 7:30PM WITHOUT SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS **

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a family friendly space with home rules and peaceful hours posted in the rental agreement that you MUST read prior to booking. It's not a loud event home and OWNER reserves the right to cancel the booking (removing the guests), with or without refund, of any guests who do not abide by these home rules or demonstrate a lack of care towards the property or others while here.

About the Area

Located in Ocracoke, this apartment is by the sea. Deepwater Theater and Ocracoke Preservation Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Ocracoke Lighthouse and British Cemetery. Ocracoke Pony Pens and Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
